The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) offered supporters something else to rejoice about on Saturday in advance of India’s World Cup debut on Sunday against Australia (India vs Pakistan)
The BCCI stated that 14,000 extra tickets would be made available for the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan League match that will take place on October 14 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. The Narendra Modi arena has a 1,32,000-seat capacity, making it the largest cricket arena in the world. The board has decided to sell more tickets from its reserve fund for the highly anticipated encounter between the two teams even though they had already sold out as soon as they went on sale last month.
In the ODI World Cup, India defeated Pakistan seven times in a row, and the host side will be under pressure to continue that winning run next Saturday in front of almost one lakh spectators. Prior to that match, India will play Australia on Sunday before taking on Afghanistan on October 11 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
In Hyderabad, Pakistan opened their Cricket World Cup campaign by defeating the Netherlands by 81 runs. Prior to travelling to Ahmedabad for the aforementioned game, they will now play Sri Lanka at the same location on October 10.
