Redmi 12 5G, India’s first smartphone with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset.
Introduction
Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi 12 5G, a cost-effective smartphone with excellent performance and 5G connectivity. The device is the first in India to use the flagship-level Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, which provides faster 5G speeds, lower latency, and more power efficiency.
Features:
A 6.79-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate, a maximum brightness of 550 nits, and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz is another feature of the Redmi 12 5G. The smartphone includes an infinite camera deco configuration and a crystal glass design with a premium glass back. The front camera includes an 8MP sensor, while the rear camera has a 50MP AI primary camera and a 2MP depth camera.
The MIUI 14 operating system, with an MIUI dialer for a more streamlined experience, powers the Redmi 12 5G. The phone sports a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IP53 rating for splash and dust resistance, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on both sides. All three of the device’s storage configurations—4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB—support virtual RAM and extendable storage of up to 1TB.

Pricing and Availability:
The cost of the 5G variant, on the other hand, starts at ₹10,999. It comes in three different configurations: 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB. Redmi 12 5G variants with 6GB and 8GB of RAM cost correspondingly ₹12,499 and ₹14,499. It will be accessible on the Amazon India website from 4th August 2023.
